Notes:

This integration information is provided as a service to VoiceTrak dealers. VocieTrak does not assume responsibility for the content or accuracy of this information. The dealer is responsible for insuring the telephone equipment provides the necessary features to support voice mail operation.

Important! Version A.06 of the Perception software has a confirmed intermittent problem with No Answer forwarding to voice mail. An upgrade to D.05 is strongly recommended.

Perception Programming

Disconnect Signal: Set for "####"

The Perception will send a DTMF sequence when a disconnect is detected. VoiceTrak needs a series of "#" signs for a disconnect signal.

System Programming for Stations

Use system programming to give each station a MSG key and a FWD key set for Call Forward, Busy/No Answer.

The VoiceTrak ports must be identified as SL ports.

System Data Block 2 - Turn on master hunt group.

Assign a group number and enter the VoiceTrak ports.

DMCD - Designate the VoiceTrak ports.

This enables dial through and the voice mail digits.

VoiceTrak programming

Message Retrieval

The Perception will not allow use of the "*" key. Use 6, or some other alternate. Change the "Retrieve Msg Key" setting in VoiceTrak Setup/Custom/Page 1 to "6" or some other alternate.

The message key on the Perception can be programmed to call VoiceTrak to retrieve messages.

Direct Insertion

The Perception will not allow use of the "#" key. Use 5, or some other alternate. Change the "Direct Insertion Key" setting in VoiceTrak Setup/Custom/Page 1 to "5" or some other alternate.

System Operation Notes

Assume that we have established a voice mail hunt group numbered 208. Also assume that we're programming station 200.

To program a FORWARD key use the following format:

hhh5sss

where hhh is the hunt group, sss is the station to be programmed. Using our example:

2085200

The forward key should be programmed as Busy/No Answer Forward on the Perception.

To program a RETRIEVE MESSAGE KEY use the following format:

hhh6sss

where hhh is the hunt group, the digit 6 and the station.

The message retrieval key is the message waiting light key.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION...

This information is untested! We have been informed that it is possible to program use of the "*" and "#" keys with the following approach. "#" can be entered as "*##". "*" can be entered as "*#*". According to this source, the Toshiba uses the # and * keys for programming. The "*#" combination overrides this programming and allows use of a single "*" or "#". This does NOT work on A.06 but may work on D.05.
