Important Note: The dealer must program the Pro II to accept codes for message waiting activation and deactivation. NEC suggested the codes listed above, but these may be modified to suit the site.
Important: All other VoiceTrak parameters must be set to Default.
Use Tone/Cadence file: NEC-PRO2
Transfer to fax machine. The tone table includes incoming fax detection. You may add an "X" type mailbox which transfers to a fax machine. Also add a line to the VOICE.BAT file which says: 'SET FAX_BOX=xxx' where xxx is mailbox for the fax machine. Not all fax machines send good CNG tones and will not transfer, but if fax tones are detected, the call will transfer to the extension specified in the FAX_BOX setting.
The NEC Pro II is an excellent digital switch which provides an good voice mail integration, including loop current drop for a disconnect signal. Stations can be forwarded directly to a VoiceTrak mail box.
Used to set hookflash duration required on single line port to receive second dial tone. System default is HST (Hookflash Start Time) + 700ms.
When a station forwards to VoiceTrak, and after VoiceTrak goes off-hook, this digit is sent prior to the station number. VoiceTrak requires the >#= sign in this field.
This is the delay before DTMF tones are sent to VoiceTrak. The default is 1 second. Since there are no settings available less than 1 second and greater than 0 we suggest using the default setting.
The Pro II disconnect signal is a drop in loop current. The setting on the Pro II must match the VoiceTrak setting. The default setting on the NEC is 1.5 seconds, which is 1,500ms.
Sets the DTMF duration of tones sent to VoiceTrak. Default is 100ms duration, 70ms between digits.
NEC default is 491 for on and 49* for off. These are fine.
Program the ports assigned to VoiceTrak as voice mail ports.
