Message Waiting Lights - When an outside caller leaves a new message, the Message light on the multi-button telephone will light. When the subscriber calls the mailbox to retrieve messages, the light will go off. The LAST VoiceTrak port should be used ONLY as a utility port and not accessed by internal users or outside callers. If the last port is always busy, the lights won't operate properly.
Calls from a SLT port to a Multibutton set are automatically in the tone call mode.
Comdial offers a voicemail integration using VMI units rather than OPX units on several of their phone systems. Check to see if your system supports this option.
To enter programming mode: ITCM * # 7 4 6 *
This feature reduces the time required to transfer calls from Auto Attendant.

Each VoiceTrak port must be identified as an OPX port. Setting this port MAY change the setting of the next feature (Through Dialing OPX). We recommend that the Voice Mail ports be set as OPX ports. Note that you must set EACH station port connected to VoiceTrak.

If this is not set correctly the following will occur: When you call a VoiceTrak intercom port from any set on the Comdial, VoiceTrak will answer but you will be unable to send additional tones. This parameter on the Comdial is a toggle, but the programming phone doesn't tell you the current setting. If it doesn't work, change it. If you call the program again, it will turn the feature off and you'll have to repeat the process. Make sure you test EACH VoiceTrak port and insure all are set correctly. This parameter is required for 'end to end DTMF' on the system.

The OPX units have four dip switches. Assuming the units are mounted on a wall, switches 1 and 2 should be flipped towards the wall, and switches 3 and 4 should be flipped away from the wall. Important Note: Some OPX units require that all 4 switches be flipped towards the wall. Experimentation may be required. If this switches are not set correctly the dial through function may not operate properly.
The OPX ports used for voice mail must be programmed for ringing line preference if automated attendant is going to be used.
