Custom Page 1 | Message Light On | 519E |
Custom Page 1 | Message Light Off | 501519E |
Important: All other VoiceTrak parameters must be set to Default.
Use Tone/Cadence file: ADIX.IWA
Transfer to fax machine. The tone table includes incoming fax detection. You may add an "X" type mailbox which transfers to a fax machine. Also add a line to the VOICE.BAT file which says: 'SET FAX_BOX=xxx' where xxx is mailbox for the fax machine. Not all fax machines send good CNG tones and will not transfer, but if fax tones are detected, the call will transfer to the extension specified in the FAX_BOX setting.
The ADIX provides many advanced voice mail features lacking on most systems. These include:
The ADIX identifies events using CI (Call Identifier) and CP (Call Progress) packets. These packets tell VoiceTrak about events from the ADIX. Version 4.0 software includes a table of 10 different packets while version 4.2 includes a table with 20 different packets.
The optimum way configure VoiceTrak is via unsupervised transfers. (Calls are transferred >blind= to a station, and the station forwards the call back to a particular VoiceTrak mailbox if the station is busy or not answered). The alternative approach is via supervised transfers, meaning VoiceTrak would control the call and monitor the line for busy or ringback tones and react accordingly. Supervised transfers tend to be less reliable and make the voice mail operation less efficient - even to the point of requiring additional ports in some situations.
In general, VoiceTrak uses the following scenarios:

1 | Blank | Incoming CO to be answered with main greeting |
2 | * | To log onto mailbox (* + Ext) |

01.03 Port Definition
Define VoiceTrak ports as: Voice Mail / Auto Attendant (0-4-1)
01.04 Port Configuration
Decide which ports will be used for AA and which for VM. According to ADIX docs, AA reset may be required to effect the changes programmed in 01.04"
04.71 Call Coverage / Voice Mail Data
10 VM / AA port DTMF speed
0 = 50 milliseconds on / 50 milliseconds off
11 VM / AA Port In-Packet Pause Time (pause between CTI and CDI)
0 = No pause
12 VM / AA Port Pre-Disconnect Packet Pause Time
0 = No pause
13 VM / AA Port Disconnect Signal Type
0 = Disconnect via DTMF stream, not loop current disconnect
14 VM / AA Port Trunk ID Packet
0 = ID packet not included

07.02 Hunt Group Access number
07.06 Feature Access Number
08.01 Hunt Group Type
08.02 Hunt Group Station
MUST be numbered 47 - 50 for voice mail. We suggest 50 for simplicity.
08.03 Hunt Group ID
Label as VoiceTrak
14.01 Key Assignment
V.MAIL - Mailbox Access Key. To transfer callers to VoiceTrak boxes.
VSSP - Voice Message Playback key.
15.01 Attendant Key Assignment
V.MAIL - Mailbox Access Key. To transfer callers to VoiceTrak boxes.
VSSP - Voice Message Playback key.
10.04 Station ID
10.45 Message Waiting
Default of 519 is OK
(See ADIX documentation for additional details)
[Mail Box] key or [Mail Box Access No.] must be programmed to Hunt Group numbers 47 to 50.
[Hunt n] key or [Hunt Group Access No.] must be programmed to hung group 47 - 50 for VM ports.
[TRAN] + [Mail Box key] + [DSS] + [On Hook]
-or-
[TRAN] + [Mail Box key] + [Mailbox Number] + [On Hook]
[TRAN] + [Extension number of first VoiceTrak Port] + [On Hook]
-or-
[TRAN] + [DSS key for VoiceTrak] + [Mailbox Number] + [On Hook]
[Off-hook] + [MSG] + [#]
Note that this operation to retrieve messages will always call the voice mail hunt group number 47, even if a message was left from another voice mail hunt group. This would apply only if more than one voice mail hunt group has been established.
